Jim Corbett, born Edward James Corbett on July 25, 1875, was a renowned British-Indian hunter, conservationist, and author. He is best known for his efforts in wildlife conservation and his significant role in establishing India's first national park, the Hailey National Park (now Jim Corbett National Park), in 1936. Corbett gained fame for his exceptional skills in tracking and hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in the Kumaon region of India during the early 20th century.
