After a devoted night of sleep, the second day directly starts from the fifth abode of Lord Murugan i.e. Subramanya Swamy temple. Tiruthani comprises one of the six Padai Veedu shrines of Lord Subramanya. Tiruthani is known for the valor and spirit shown by Subramanya after vanquishing the demon Surapadam. This place is a witness of an auspicious and sacred wedding ritual of Subramanya and Valli.
